I confess, I am 37 years old and I have never actually learned how to iron clothes the right way. When I was a child, my grandma did the ironing while I was usually playing farmhand to my grandpa. Then as I grew up, I discovered that if you time it just right you can avoid ironing by getting the clothes out of the dryer before they wrinkle making ironing obsolete.
But then I had children of my own and realized that there are times when you must iron - not many, thankfully. So I stumble my way through ironing a pair of pants on the first day of school or a dress for the Christmas program. But I really have no idea what I’m doing.
