Free Sunflower Seeds From The Great Sunflower Project
Scientists are trying to understand bees in today’s environment, and the challenges that bees face. The Great Sunflower Project is an attempt to get as many people involved as possible for more data to study. It doesn’t cost you anything; you’ll receive free sunflower seeds to plant.
If you enjoy plants, gardening, animals, or science in general this may be a great opportunity for you. First you visit their website and register at the level you wish in order to participate in the study. Once you’ve registered they will send you real, wild sunflower seeds to plant. It isn’t difficult and the flower can be grown in a garden or just in a pot on your front porch. You’ll be watching to see how long it takes for five bees to visit your flower, then you send in the data.
